How these Denver Broncos together with the 'play-dough' QB could halt the Chiefs' rule.

Week six of the 2025 NFL season

Live coverage features text commentary for Sunday's games via multiple platforms, beginning with Denver Broncos v New York Jets at Tottenham (kicking off at 2 PM BST). Additionally, audio coverage can be heard on select stations covering another key matchup (beginning at 9 PM BST).

We're in the sixth week in the NFL season , following recent discussion regarding two top teams being possible championship contenders, each surrendered their unbeaten records.

Notable during those contests were the amount of infractions each conceded. Philadelphia did so in key moments meaning they essentially beat themselves after leading 17-3 entering the fourth period against Denver, who play overseas this weekend.

But it proved good to observe that Denver quarterback the rookie was able to have that deficit and then direct three scoring drives in three attempts in the fourth quarter, securing the victory by four points.

Denver have the defensive player of the year with cornerback their star corner. They rank first in goal-line defense, whereas Philadelphia are number one in scoring near the end zone, and the Broncos won that contest.

They had effective strategies in terms of disguised blitzes. They did not always sending extra pass rushers instead they might position two LBs in the 'A' gap then drop them out and dispatch a slot defender off the edge.

Early on of the season, we said during a show that Denver could be this season's surprise contenders. They ended the previous year strongly then did a good job in continuing that momentum.

Are the Denver Broncos this year's dark horses?

Recently acquired tight end Evan Engram has excelled significantly and new running back their rusher is a guy they believe in. He now ranks 5th league-wide in ground gains (402) and tied for fourth in rushing scores (4).

I love that the coach Sean Payton has "RUSH!" prominently of his playcall sheet.

This demonstrates how the Broncos are a team aiming to prioritize the run, since one can do a lot based on that approach. It slows down the pass rush and keeps you in positive down and distances.

It's also helped QB the young passer, who entered the NFL as the 12th overall draft pick in the prior draft, throwing 29 TDs – just behind a star QB in rookie records (31 in 2020).

Josh Allen and Herbert have the arm strength to pass all over, but they don't move in the same way that Nix has. He boasts incredible arm talent, a unique trait, plus he is highly agile.

His strengths include his movement, the capacity to throw while moving, as well as finding different arm angles to deliver the pass when he rolls out of the pocket, the bootlegs. He can throw that layered pass across the middle or over the corner.

For a young quarterback, aged 25, he displays a lot of composure under pressure and is not really fazed by the blitz. He aims to avoid a sack as much as possible and is able throw in tight spots. He possesses sharp intelligence and is quick to decide.

When you constantly rush it consumes time and forces the defence to stay in play extended periods, and when you have a mobile QB the defence must cover the area vertically side to side. This proves draining.

The quarterback has pushed back with the coach on the sideline sometimes and it seems the coach likes that attitude, seeing him as a fierce rival. I think it's fun for the coach to coach a rookie QB who's similar to play-dough. The coach can truly build something up the way he desires to build it. I believe it's a unique opportunity for the coach.

The head coach has won a Super Bowl and has surpassed Bill Parcells for career NFL wins (173, tying for 14th). He's seen everything. I think the success Denver are having offensively is largely down to his leadership, his play-calling, his situational awareness – and the pairing with Nix helps shape him what he is.

There's no better a better guy guiding you, to help you during some of the tougher situations and boost self-belief.

I believe in Denver's defence, in the QB's grit and calm. Yet is the team strong enough to face an elite team at its best? Since that wasn't a Super Bowl performance by the Eagles last Sunday.

Currently, I don't think Denver are elite. They're working above average, which is a solid position to be in their division. The key to do is maintain this trajectory.

They excel at embracing their forte, that is running the ball, and that's exactly what they must do versus the Jets at Tottenham. It's going to be a Dobbins-focused game, essentially.

New York have surrendered 140 yards on the ground each contest (among the worst), five ground scores this season (in the bottom ten), and they're the only team without a win any game.

Since the NFL started recording takeaways in 1933, the Jets are also the first team to be without any turnovers through five games, this is surprising when you think that the head coach Aaron Glenn a defensive coach at the Detroit Lions.

Patrick Mahomes stated the Chiefs are off to a poor start following Monday's defeat by the Jaguars.

After this Sunday's game, Denver have a manageable slate until their bye (in week twelve) - the Giants, the Cowboys, Houston Texans plus the Raiders prior to the Kansas City Chiefs.

Looking at their division, the Chiefs are 2-3 and the Broncos are even with the Los Angeles Chargers at 3-2 so they could challenge for the top of the West.

This hinges on what version of the Chiefs they meet since Denver {beat|def
