Football Expert Sutton Takes On Artist Murs in Premier League Forecasts

The Gunners' ten-match winning run came to an end by the Black Cats prior to the international hiatus, but will the English top division leaders bounce back against north London rivals Tottenham this weekend?

"{I feel like Arsenal are miles ahead of Tottenham currently but Spurs manager Thomas Frank will have a plan for this match," remarked football specialist Chris Sutton.

"Frank will attempt to neutralize Arsenal, who have not always been at their scintillating best this campaign - but Mikel Arteta's team usually still find a way to win."

Sutton is forecasting results for all 380 Premier League games this season, against AI, fans and a range of special visitors.

For the twelfth round, he faces performer Olly Murs, who is a United fan.

Murs' new album, Knees Up, is out on Friday.

Football and Family Life

Olly is a talented footballer as well as a successful artist and has been a featured player of several charity football matches over time - but he is not intending a professional comeback as a player.

"{I actually played in a charity game the other evening for a mate of mine," he said. "My side was trailing 3-1 when I was substituted in the 60th minute, and they went on to win 4-3, so you can read into that what you want!

"I still love football, but I hurt my knee a few years ago and it even now hasn't fully recovered. I hope I could play more but the uncertainty of the sport means it's too dangerous for me in my profession to do it seriously again.

"Plus I am forty-one now, and we are not everyone is Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very content not playing football and I am preparing for the moment that my daughter or boy chooses to play instead."

The singer and his spouse his partner have two children, Madison and their son, and he is prepared to emulate his dad by taking on the role of their coach.

"I won't force football on our children but I've previously told Amelia that if they do get the passion for it then I will have to go and get my manager qualifications - and I will likely be managing their weekend soccer side," he added.

"I observed my relatives play a lot, and I truly got into it, and I obviously was involved with a soccer team for a period too.

"My father did it with us when I was a child, which is likely where I get it from. He managed our team for several years and had a wonderful time with it. That might be the next step for me as well, and I am looking forward to it!"

Top Division Predictions

Weekend, 22 November

  • Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT

The Blues might have to wait a bit longer for their star's return from fitness issues but their attack is now stronger with Pedro and Liam Delap both returned to fitness.

I still think this game will be quite tight, though. The Clarets are well organised and their sole at Turf Moor losses so far have been against Liverpool and the Gunners.

It smells of a one-all draw to me, but I am in fact going to choose Chelsea to edge it for what would be their third league win in a row.

The expert's prediction: 1-2

The singer's pick: Chelsea will be superior. 1-3

AI's prediction: 0-2

  • Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT

The Cherries have been defeated in their past two games - albeit both of them were away - but they got absolutely spanked by Aston Villa last time out which shocked me.

On the other hand, the Hammers secured two in a row before the hiatus and, although both of those fixtures were at home, they appear strong again.

West Ham's only away victory this season came at Forest in August, when their boss Nuno was previously Forest coach.

Therefore, what exactly do I predict here - will it be West Ham continuing their streak under Nuno, or Bournemouth responding?

I am going to go with the Cherries, because I think what occurred against Villa was a anomaly.

Sutton's prediction: 2-0

The guest's prediction: Bournemouth are doing well but the visitors have improved under Nuno. 2-2

The algorithm's pick: 1-1

  • Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT

Brentford were seen as one of the favourites for relegation before the campaign began, but they have surprised a few people under Keith Andrews and are in good form with three wins in their past four games.

My son told me to select Brentford striker Igor Thiago in my fantasy soccer team a few weeks ago and, unfortunately, I ignored the advice.

Thiago will likely score again on the weekend but I am nonetheless not going to pick him or support the away side at Brighton's ground.

The Bees have not had much success on the travel this season, and the Seagulls are always strong at their stadium. The visitors will try to hit them on the break but I think the home manager's team pose much more of a threat.

Sutton's forecast: 2-1

The singer's prediction: This could be a match where you expect there is going to be a many scores but it in reality proves to be rather close. 1-1

AI's prediction: 2-1

  • Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT

It is a massive fixture for the Cottagers, who have suffered defeat in five of their past six matches.

They have have lots of talent in their team but it nonetheless seems like they could be sucked into a relegation fight.

Regarding the Black Cats, well they are the surprise package of the top flight season so far.

The away side's performance in the two-all tie with Arsenal last time out was excellent. We have not witnessed any other team rough up the Gunners like that this season, and Sunderland were more than a match for them.

The logical choice would be to back the Black Cats here, because they are clearly able of disrupting Fulham up too and, the previous occasion they were in this part of London, they defeated Chelsea at the close of last month.

However I am not going to choose that. Instead, I truly need to carry on going against Sunderland with my forecasts. I am claiming a lot of credit for their positive results because they evidently love to defy my predictions.

Considering Fulham's home form, the only team they have lost to is the league leaders. Marco Silva's team will be extremely desperate for a positive outcome, so I am going to say they will secure three much-needed points.

The expert's prediction: 1-0

Olly's prediction: I'm aware Sunderland are performing strongly and also that the hosts are on a poor run... but they have still been respectable at home this campaign. 2-0

AI's prediction: 2-0

  • Anfield, 15:00 GMT

It is a hard one to predict. The Reds have lost seven of their past 10 games in every tournament, but could they be among the teams who benefit from the {international break|
