Devoted followers of the pop star are urging that a individual who leaped a barricade and touched the actress during Thursday's Wicked: For Good launch be detained or removed from Singapore.

A widely shared video shows the Australian man pushing past camera operators and charging at Grande while the actors proceeded down a promenade flanked by supporters.

Fellow actress Cynthia Erivo immediately wrested the shocked performer away from Mr Wen, who was seen being led away of the gathering by event staff.

Mr Wen posted on Instagram late on Thursday that he was "released after being taken in", though legal records indicated that he was due to be present on the next day. It is not clear if he was formally accused.

Pattern of Disruptions

This is not the first time for Mr Wen, who calls himself a "Notorious Troublemaker", has invaded a celebrity gathering. His Instagram account contains recordings of him disrupting other celebrity events, including rushing the platform at the artist's Sydney show in June this year and in a similar way during The Chainsmokers performance in the same location last December.

"Measures must be taken enforced against him as this is evidently a punishable act," wrote an Instagram commenter, in a response to a video Mr Wen uploaded of his behavior.

"This appears to be a habit... why are you not imprisoned?" a different Instagram user questioned.

Fans Express Concern Over Grande's Safety

Many fans accused Mr Wen for "triggering past anxiety" Grande, who had spoken of experiencing trauma-related anxiety after a devastating incident at the finale of her 2017 concert in Manchester, resulting in the death of 22 people and harming hundreds.

"Ariana has been through so many scary things... and at her Manchester concert and you thought it would be fun to jump the barricade?" commented one more comment on Instagram.

A number of attendees also criticised guards at the gathering for not being sufficiently alert; while some requested online networks to ban Mr Wen's content.

Aftermath and Event Details

In clips shared widely, Grande looked shocked when she was grabbed by the intruder. Her cast members Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be observed consoling her while Mr Wen was removed by guards.

Grande has not issued a statement on the event, and the remaining proceedings proceeded as normal.

Many of fans had gathered in a sea of green and pink at the Wicked: For Good regional launch in a Singapore mall, including some who had stood in line for as long as eight hours before it began.

The movie, to be launched on the 21st of November, is the second of a two-part interpretation of the well-known Broadway and West End production Wicked, which focuses on the surprising bond between two contrasting witches.

The production itself is a derivative of the classic children's novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who acts as the benevolent sorceress Glinda, was adorned in a rosé sparkling outfit at the premiere while Erivo, who plays the villainous character, wore a black tube gown featuring roses.

They were alongside fellow actor Jeff Goldblum.

The initial film, Wicked, was the highest-grossing film of the previous year in the UK, and scored 10 award recognitions, winning several for excellent wardrobe and artistic direction.
