In November 2018, Steve Bannon, previously Donald Trump's chief strategist, visited the UK preparing for a address at the Oxford Union.

The event was disrupted by numerous protesters, and Bannon, who was due to travel that night, informed Jeffrey Epstein in an message: "Protesters slowed down speech don't think I can catch the flight we r enroute to the airport".

Epstein responded: "That. Is a gulf air departing at 950 with a stop in Bahrain". Bannon replied: "U r an amazing helper".

These messages were released on Wednesday together with more than 20,000 documents from the estate of Epstein, the deceased convicted sex offender.

The release by the Congressional committee includes an iMessage chat where Bannon's identity is withheld. Media outlets has been able to establish his identity by matching the timeline, occurrences, and locations referenced.

For instance, Epstein discusses arranging a jet from Scotland for the unnamed individual in the messages, and offers praise their "address at Oxford". Bannon took part in the Edinburgh conference on 14 November, and delivered the talk at the Oxford Union on November 16.

Bannon, who is not accused of any misconduct, declined to comment on the inquiry.

'I'll make sure you're well looked after'

Bannon was one of Trump's key aides in the run up to the 2016 election and during the initial phase of his presidency, but resigned from the White House in 2017.

He has admitted he was making a film about Epstein before his death and reportedly has approximately 15 hours of recordings. In a recording of his show earlier this year, he said: "We're going to publish the series, the five-part series, next year - at the start of next year."

But the recently disclosed documents suggest Bannon's relationship with Epstein went further than being his biographer, with the convicted paedophile occasionally appearing to serve like a personal assistant.

A few days prior to the conversation in which Epstein seemed to booked a private plane for Bannon, Epstein said: "how does it feel to have the highest-paid travel agent in history ".

Bannon expressed gratitude: "U r pretty good asst", to which Epstein replied "Massages. Not Included".

Discussing a visit to "AD" in another message, Epstein told Bannon: "I will ensure you're taken care of."

UK Politics Discussed in Exchanges

The published messages also show Bannon and Epstein talking about UK politics in 2018.

Earlier on the same day his address at the Oxford, Bannon messaged Epstein: "I became involved in the Brexit issue this morning with Nigel, Johnson and Mogg."

Then, in what seems like a allusion to the UK prime minister, the struggling British leader at the time, he continued: "The guys are trying to move on. may today / tomorrow…"

Epstein advised Bannon: "In my view remaining as long as you can in the UK. Ideal- so others see the dedication of your follow through."

Soon after, Epstein asked: "Will Theresa May remain in power". Bannon answered: "It seems unlikely BUT the guys here have no balls" and added "Johnson ; Gove; Rees Mogg; Davis - somebody has to step up".

Theresa May was eventually removed in 2019 after withstanding two votes of lack of support in late 2018.

A representative for Reform UK informed media: "Farage has not been in a gathering with Steve Bannon, Rees-Mogg and Johnson." And there is nothing to suggest such a meeting occurred.

The US House of Representatives will vote soon on whether the justice department should release all its files related to its probe into Epstein, who passed away in prison in 2019.

Interest in Epstein's associations with influential individuals was renewed recently after the publication of more than 20,000 documents from his estate.

A portion of those referenced Trump, who has repeatedly rejected any impropriety. The president was a acquaintance of Epstein's for a long time, but says they parted ways in the 2000s, two years before Epstein was first arrested.
